The Prinz Eugen was the third and last Admiral Hipper Class Heavy Cruiser commissioned by the Kriegsmarine. This type of heavy cruiser was character- istically larger than those from other countries. Due to the enormous size of Admiral Hipper Class Heavy Cruisers, their silhouettes resembled large German battleships such as the Bismark.
