Developed from the Boeing 707 passenger airliner, the E-3 AWACS (Airborne
Warning and Control System) is the most advanced airborne radar platform in the
world. Its mission is to identify potentially hostile air or surface vehicles
and direct friendly aircraft to intercept them. The E-3 is easily identified
by the huge rotodome mounted on the rear of the fuselage. In addition to the
USAF, E-3's are used by the British and French air forces.

Engine pods have fan fronts and exhaust nozzles - Optional engine
